Below outlines the steps needed to get TRT with Balance My Hormones.
1) Take Our Online Testosterone Questionnaire
If you’ve been feeling unusually tired, low in mood, or experiencing sexual difficulties, take our Online Testosterone Questionnaire to find out if low testosterone could be a contributing factor.
Our Hormone Questionnaire is designed to help identify potential signs of low testosterone in men. It includes a series of quick questions that cover common symptoms such as fatigue, reduced libido, decreased muscle strength, and mood changes.
Completing the questionnaire is a quick and effective way to better understand your symptoms and determine whether a follow-up blood test may be needed to confirm low testosterone levels.
Your results can also serve as a helpful starting point for your journey and consultation with one of our doctors at Balance My Hormones, should further testing indicate low testosterone.
If you’d like to speak with someone before making any commitments, we encourage you to book a call with one of our experienced team members, who can help answer any questions or address any concerns you may have.
2) Order an At-Home Blood Test
The only reliable way to confirm low testosterone is through a blood test. This test provides an accurate picture of your hormone levels and helps determine whether you may have low testosterone.
Our at-home blood test measures the following key markers:
- Total Testosterone
- Free Testosterone
- SHBG (Sex Hormone Binding Globulin)
- Albumin
If you’ve had a blood test from another provider within the past three months, please get in touch — we may be able to use your existing results.
3) Order Your Comprehensive Blood Test
After completing your initial blood test, if results indicate low testosterone, you’ll be asked to take a comprehensive blood test. This second test not only confirms your testosterone levels but also measures a broader panel of biomarkers to ensure you’re in good health before starting your TRT journey.
By UK regulations, two separate blood tests showing low levels are required, and this confirmation test must be carried out venously.
We offer several convenient options for providing your sample:
- Attend an appointment at one of our partner clinics nationwide
- Arrange for a nurse to visit your home or workplace (available at a slightly higher cost)
4) Consultation with One of Our Qualified Doctors
Once your results have been reviewed and you’re deemed eligible, you’ll be invited to book a consultation with one of our qualified doctors.
During this stage, you’ll complete a few medical forms to help the doctor carry out a thorough evaluation of your case. This consultation is your opportunity to discuss treatment options, review your personalised treatment plan, and understand the benefits and potential side effects of Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRT).
5) Medication Delivered to Your Door
Once you and your doctor are happy with your treatment plan, your prescription will be sent to our in-house pharmacy, The Hormonist, to be processed and delivered directly to your door.
Our case managers are available to provide ongoing support and answer any questions you may have once your package arrives.
This process has been carefully designed to be safe, effective, and seamless — ensuring you have everything you need to begin your TRT journey with confidence.
6) Ongoing Support and Care
With TRT, there’s no one-size-fits-all approach — regular blood tests are essential at key milestones in your treatment plan. This helps ensure you remain in optimal health and allows us to uphold our commitment to keeping you safe and well monitored.
You’ll have blood tests at 6 weeks, 6 months, and 12 months during your first year, followed by annual testing thereafter.
Our dedicated team of doctors and support staff will be with you every step of the way, ensuring you’re cared for throughout your journey and helping you return to a healthier, more balanced you.
